Two students from AFP CMO NCO Course class 09-13 were tasked to conduct a 2-day seminar in 903rd Brigade under the command of COL JOSELITO E KAKILALA (GSC) PA at Poblacion Castilla, Sorsogon. The said seminar focused on Audio Video Production and Photo Editing. The seminar aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of the soldiers on product development in support to mission accomplishment.
A1C Orlando D Bacalso PAF, and Pfc Brenda May F Ponce PA rendered mentorship on Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premier. There were 15 participants coming from different units of 9th Infantry Division, Philippine Army. Ten (10) of them were from 301st Brigade, two (2) from 9th CMO battalion and three (3) from headquarters of 903rd Brigade.
The week-long activity was challenging and enjoyable for the students not only that for acquiring the knowledge and skills, but most importantly for the opportunity to develop their capabilities as CMO operatives.

The AFP CMOS Mobile Training Team participates in the compact ISA Training at the 3rd Civil-Military Operations Battalion, 303rd Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division, Philippine Army in Escalante City, Negros Occidental.
This training activity was conducted on 30 May to 07 June 2013 with the goal to enhance the personnel of 3rd CMO Battalion in information support operations in their area of responsibility.
A total of 67 students from 3rd CMO Battalion and 62nd infantry Battalion acquired knowledge on the fundamentals of Civil-Military Operations, developed skills in product development particularly in photo editing and video editing, and fundamentals of news writing for radio, and radio reporting under the mentorship of MAJ JO-AR A HERRERA PA, CPT MARK LESTER CABUNOC PA, MU2 Romulo G Contrano PN, AW1C Annie B Magbanua PAF, and LTC PATRICK E CINCO (GSC) PA – 3rd CMO Battalion, Commander.
LTC CINCO seeked support from the AFP CMO NCO School to conduct this training to make the troops of 3rd CMO Battalion capable and skilled CMO operatives and successfully accomplish their missions. Likewise 1LT GIZELLE G LIM (CAV) PA, Course Director closely monitored the students to identify the expertise of their personnel.

Members of ISOC Class 02-13 had an opportunity to visit Malacañang particularly the Presidential Communication Development and Strategic Planning Office on 31 May 2013. Students had a chance to meet and interact with Usec Abigail Valte, the Deputy Presidential Spokesperson. She facilitates the tour of the students, it was a great experience and opportunity for the class to interact with Usec Valte and observe an actual press briefing.
The goal of this activity is to immerse the students in the organizational environment, culture and best practices of PCDSPO, to generate a platform for interagency convergence and create a dialogue for shared strategic values.
The Commandant, AFPCMOS, MAJ JO-AR A HERRERA PA intends to further develop the knowledge and skills of the students in information support affairs and other aspects with regards to strategic communication planning and development.

ROLANDO R RODIL (GSC) PA, Assistant Chief of Staff for Operations C3, CRSAFP, pose for a photo with CAPT David Cole US Navy, Deputy Commander of the Joint Special Operations Task Force-Philippines with members of its Military Information Support Team, CPT Dan Stanley and SGT Derrick Chan, after they have rendered a briefing on the role of the Joint Special Operations Task Force-Philippines (JSOTF-P) in our nation's battle for peace in Mindanao. The lecture gave insight to the lasting commitment of US forces to work with the Armed Forces of the Philippines in a joint effort to fight terrorism.
