Professor Renato Cruz de Castro PH D is a senior professor in the International Studies  Department of the De La Salle University, Taft  Avenue, Manila.    He is a  holder of the Charles Lui Chi Keung Professional Chair in China  Studies and a  U S State Department  ASEAN Research Fellow.  In 2009, he was  with the Political Science Department of the Arizona State University.   He earned his doctorate degree   from the Government and International Studies Department  of the University of South Carolina as a Fulbright Scholar in 2011.   He obtained his  Bachelor in  Arts degree  and two (2) Masters degrees from the University of the Philippines . Dr. Raymundo D Rovillos is currently the Dean, College of Social Sciences and a Professor of History and Philosophy at the University of the Philippines-Baguio. He is an expert in Philippine History, Cordillera History; Society and Culture; Ethnicity/Indigenous Peoples’ Studies; Gender Studies; and Social Development. 

As a Dean of the College of Social Sciences, Dr. Rovillos lead the formative review of the Master of Arts in Social and Development Studies Program; steered and contributed to the institution of the Bachelor Science in Management Economics and proposed to revise the Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences respectively; and initiated the establishment of the UP Baguio Cordillera and Northern Luzon. Historical archives in 2008 and continues to mobilize resources for its development.

 BGEN FERMIN R DE LEON JR AFP (RET) finished his primary education from St Theresa's College in Baguio City and  his elementary and secondary, from San Beda College in Manila.  He studied here and abroad, where he earned  his Bachelor of Science  from the Philippine Military Academy  in 1977; Master of Arts in Philosophy from St Louis Univeristy, Baguio City; and Master in National Security Admnistration from the National Defense College of the Philippines, including defense-related courses in Germany,  the United States and the United Kingdom.

    The AFP Civil-Military Operations (CMO) School, Civil Relations Service, AFP Mobile Training Team (MTT) led by  School Commandant MAJ OLIVER A BAÑARIA PAF  conducted the eight (8) days of Audio-Visual Production at the Headquarters 2nd Infantry  (Jungle Division), Philippine Army stationed in Camp General Mateo Capinpin, Tanay, Rizal from 22 to 28  March 2012. 

   Training Non-Commissisoned Officers (NCOs) SSg Anthony A Corpuz PA and AW2C Annie B Magbanua efficiently assisted MAJ BAÑARIA in reaching out to the military personnel of the 2nd Infantry Division, whose Commanding General,  MAJ GENERAL EDUARDO D DEL ROSARIO AFP, was the former Commander of the Civil Relations Service, AFP.  The thirty four (34) training participants  were  selected members of the CMO Battalions and Brigades under the said  army division. 

     Putting premium on  Civil-Military Operations, the training staff  started off with lectures on CMO Fundamentals and Psychological Operations (PsyOps) Fundamentals.  The  next few days were devoted to teaching the  seminar attendees on the modern art of audio-visual production, specifically  on basic photography and videography.  They were taught how to produce  videos and how to edit  such products. SSg Corpuz gave lectures and demonstrations on the introduction to photoshop and its basic tools; GPX on photoshop such  as photo editing, transformation and blending option;  introduction to Adobe Premier and PX on Adobe Premier.  AW2C Magbanua also   lectured on  Windows Movie Maker and PX on Movie Maker.

     The AFP Civil- Military Operations School, Civil Relations Service, AFP  the prestigious military training institution  which is now gaining recognition for  a strong foundation in the field of Civil-Military Operations (CMO) for military and police personnel, recently started a Lecture Series for its students.  The program with the theme  “Bayanihan:  Isulong para sa Kapayapaan”   runs from 05 March up to 20 June 2012 at the CMO School, Civil Relations Service inside Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo,Quezon City.  Student officers of the Information Support Operation Course also  invited guests participants  from the CRSAFP and CMO practitioners from other AFP Units. 

            The program strategy of these lectures aims to partner with the Mistah Foundation, a US-based NGO in order to develop a multi-stakeholder approach to peace and security.,  “ The AFP CMO School will invite distinguished and eminent individuals to deliver lectures on the following concepts:  good governance; peace; human rights and international human rights law; social development; conflict resolution and management; inter-agency and public diplomacy; ethical leadership; mass movements and role of the civil society; public and intercultural communication; culture and indigenous peoples; and other concepts related to peace and security. “ says MAJOR JO-AR HERRERA, Project Director.

 The Armed Forces of the Philippines’ Internal Peace and Security Plan “Bayanihan” has won the hearts of La Salle BS Psychology students.

In a lecture seminar last March 14, 2012 BS Psychology students from De LaSalle University  have finally understood the youth/students role that they have to perform in order to make the Bayanihan a success.

Brigadier General Rolando B Tenefrancia AFP, Commander, Civil Relations Service AFP said that “the youth, specifically the students of today, have a big role to play in the success of ‘Bayanihan’, they should be able to inculcate in themselves and learn to accept this role wholeheartedly.”

BGen Tenefrancia said that “the youth should focus and do well on their studies, learn more about the society, and learn how to help the country best, as there will come a time when they will rise to the challenge of becoming the future leaders of this country, from the private sector to the government sector to help in  nation building and development.” alt

Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo, Quezon City- 

    Sixteen (16)  AB-Psychology students of the  De La Salle University -Taft Avenue, Manila  visited the AFP Civil-Military School, Civil Relations Service, AFP  on 14 March 2012 to see what  GHQ is from the inside and to get a direct  insight or information on the current administration's peace and security  thrust, the  AFP Internal Peace and Security Plan (IPSP)  "BAYANIHAN".  

     The  3rd year DLSU students' visit was also related to their class subject on Industrial Psychology. They were welcomed by School Commandant MAJ OLIVER A BAÑARIA PAF, Asst School Commandant LT ROSELLE A ABUD PN  and   the ongoing Information Support Operations Course  CL 01-11 Course Director  MAJ JO-AR A HERRERA PA,  together with  CPT EMMANUEL L DIASEN JR  PA , the Station Manager of the AFP radio station DWDD; CPT GENESIS R  GABRIDO  PA , the Deputy  Commander  of the 7th Civil Relations Group and LT LADY CHATTERLY  I  ALVARO PN , the Chief Production Unit of the Information Development Group, all of the   Civil Relations Service, AFP.
